Aaron Sweet

Consult Planning Director and Founder, Aaron Sweet, has twenty five years experience in the planning and development industry. Over this time, Aaron has gained a reputation as a highly experienced town planning expert with a proven track record in both the local government and consulting sectors. He is well respected by clients and peers for his well-rounded knowledge, professional conduct and the quality service he delivers consistently for clients. Aaron is also a Registered Planner (RPIA) recognising the highest standards of competency and professional practice.

Aaron has the experience to deliver nationwide projects. While he specialises in negotiating appropriate development outcomes between clients and government on projects throughout all of Queensland, he also has experience preparing and submitting development applications in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

Background

Starting his town planning career with the City of Gold Coast in 1998, Aaron gained valuable local government insight and techniques for analysing and negotiating complex planning issues. These unique challenges equipped Aaron with the necessary know-how to establish the highly successful town planning division of Brisbane’s Bartley Burns Certifiers and Planners in 2002. His close working relationship with building inspectors and private building certifiers in both these roles provided Aaron with an in-depth workable knowledge of building regulations and the Queensland Development Code.
